What is Purrs
Purrs is a cat adoption platform that connects rescuers with people looking to adopt - every cat gets a dedicated profile, every rescuer gets a public track record, and adopters apply through the platform instead of DMs that get lost. We're already the largest platform of our kind in our home market, with a trusted rescue community and a transparent adoption process.
Cats have found homes through Purrs in Bulgaria. The platform is now expanding across the EU, starting with the countries where the need is greatest.

Most European countries have no equivalent - rescue work happens through Facebook groups, Instagram stories, and word of mouth. It works, but barely. Listings get buried, adopters can't search or filter, and there's no shared infrastructure between rescuers. Purrs exists to fix that.
What is a Purrs Pioneer
Before Purrs goes live in a new region, we need a core group of rescuers who are already active, already trusted, and willing to be the first to try something new. We call them Pioneers.
A Pioneer is not a brand ambassador. You don't need to post about us, wear a t-shirt, or hit engagement targets. What you do is simpler and more valuable: you list your cats on Purrs, you use the platform as part of your real workflow, and you tell other rescuers in your network when you think it's worth their time.
Pioneers shape the platform for their country. Your feedback, your language, your local context.

Purrs Verified - free for Pioneers
Purrs Verified is a paid subscription that normally costs €1-3/month that covers technical costs. It gives rescuers a set of tools and visibility features designed to speed up the adoption process and build trust with potential adopters.

What we ask from you
This isn't an open signup. We're looking for rescuers who are already doing the work - people and organizations who foster, rehabilitate, and rehome cats as an ongoing commitment, not a one-time thing.
To join as a Pioneer, you need to:
- Be actively looking for homes for a few cats
- Be based in one of the countries we're currently onboarding
We don't require you to be a registered organization. Many rescuers on the platform are independent - they do this from their homes, on their own time. That's exactly who Purrs is built for.
